Jawa Motorcycles

JAWA motorcycles were introduced in India in the 1950s and production was carried out directly in India by Ideal Jawa India Ltd based out of Mysore starting in the early 60s. Earlier models were manufactured in Czechoslovakia and bore the CZ Jawa emblem on the side of the fuel tank. The locally manufactured models always had O within the Jawa emblem. The JAWA 353 designated as ‘A’ Type, Yezdi 250 ‘B’ Type, Jawa 350 type 634 Twin and Yezdi 250 Monarch models are driven to this day in various parts of the country. JAWA and Yezdi bikes, especially the ones with fuel tank paddings and ignition systems on the fuel tank are now collectors items. The company stopped production in 1996. In October 2016,Mahindra and Mahindra, through its subsidiary Classic Legends Private Limited (CLPL), signed a licensing deal to launch motorbikes under the JAWA brand name in India and other East Asian countries.

Now Mahindra & Mahindra revives classic Jawa brand with 3 new motorcycles starting at Rs 1.55 lakh. The engine makes 27bhp and 28Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and is BS-VI-compliant. Once launched, the new Jawa motorcycles will rival the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Mahindra launched three mtorcycles names as JAWA, JAWA 42 and JAWA PERAK. It is said that JAWA and JAWA 42 will be available in the first quarter of 2019 and after some time Jawa Perak will be launched. 

Here are the details of the two bikes which will launch in recent 2019.

JAWA

Mahindra and Mahindra launched this vehicle with its old name Jawa with many latest features. This bike is full with enthusiast and fun. Its heavy body and bold look makes it a perfect bike for people above young generation. With it’s retro lines, polished chrome, and chic curve perfectly captures the feeling of 50s look and aesthetic of brand. It premium Italian engineering pairs the elegance of sleek lines and graceful curves with an uncompromisingly robust design. It is beginning with a single cylinder, four-stroke 300cc engine with a flat torque curve, low-end torque is improved, so the riding experience is that much smoother.
 New Jawa is powered by 293 cc single cylinder, 4-stroke,Liquid cooled engine which produced a power of 27 bhp and 28 nm of torque. It is fitted with 6-speed gearbox system. It have Twin exaust pipes. It comes with fuel tank capacity of 14 liters. Price of this vehicle is 1.64 lakh(ex-showroom).

It is a JAWA but it does not looks like Jawa its different it is new-generation with fresh and modern looks. Every thing about this is same as Jawa as it has same engine which is mentioned above that is 293 cc single cylinder, 4-stroke,Liquid cooled engine which produced a power of 27 bhp and 28 nm of torque. It is fitted with 6-speed gearbox system. Price for this vehicle is s Rs 1.55 lakh.
